The lowest quotation can become expensive if sampling repeatedly fails, sizing is inconsistent or bulk materials differ from approval. A higher quotation is not automatically better either. Buyers need evidence that the factory's capabilities match the collection.
Start with product-category fit
Ask whether the manufacturer regularly handles the products you need:
- yoga leggings and fitted pants;
- sports bras and lined tops;
- tanks and lightweight performance tops;
- shorts, skirts and yoga sets;
- outerwear or performance streetwear;
- bonded, brushed or high-compression styles.
A factory strong in basic T-shirts may not automatically be strong in sports bras or sculpted leggings.

Discuss MOQ by style and color, sample process, material minimums, payment, lead time, packaging and shipment. A factory may offer a low garment MOQ while the fabric mill or custom dyeing requires more material.
Use a trial project wisely
A small, representative style can test communication and execution better than immediately launching ten complex designs. Evaluate the complete cycle: quotation, sample, revision, production, packing and after-sales response.
